OUR OBJECTIVES
- The BRICS Arts Association aims to:
- Strengthen an international community of artists, curators, critics, and art professionals from BRICS countries, supporting activities from creation to circulation and critical reflection.
- Promote the arts as a vital form of cultural expression and identity within these nations.
- Facilitate professional development for artists, curators, critics, and art producers through accessible and inclusive opportunities.
- Establish an international platform for mapping, showcasing, and stimulating artistic creation in BRICS countries.
- Foster cross-cultural exchanges through in-person meetings, editorial productions, and collaborative artistic projects.
- Advocate for common public policies that encourage and facilitate the production and circulation of the arts, including financial and tax incentives.
- Support governmental and non-governmental initiatives aimed at promoting art and artistic discourse.
- Enhance public and private support for artistic projects such as artist residencies, fairs, symposia, congresses, exhibitions, conferences, and seminars.
- Strengthen local artistic communities through ongoing creative initiatives.
- Cultivate art audiences by engaging with educational institutions, community organizations, and cultural initiatives.
- Uphold artistic freedom and recognize culture as a force for unity and peace among nations.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- To achieve these objectives, the BRICS Arts Association will implement the following actions:
- Participation in international art fairs, exhibitions, biennials, and cultural events to stimulate dialogue and increase visibility for artistic production from BRICS countries.
- Development of programs that facilitate the professionalization of artists, curators, and critics.
- Creation of exchange programs that promote artistic collaboration and knowledgesharing between BRICS nations.
- Publication of editorial materials, research, and critical reflections to document and disseminate contemporary artistic practices.
- Advocacy for policies that enhance the circulation and funding of artistic projects across BRICS nations.
- Organization of educational and outreach programs to expand public engagement with the arts.
